Margaret Ellen (Little) McMonigle, 85, of Hillsboro, entered eternal rest on Oct. 2, 2012. She was born Jan. 12, 1927 in Clinton, Indiana and was the daughter of Harlo and Goldie (Lewis) Little. On Feb. 9, 1946 she married Douglas Warren McMonigle. They were married 54 years.

Margaret was a homemaker for many years before she and Douglas owned and operated North End Market of Hillsboro, Ohio. Later in life she was an interpreter for the deaf at Webster Elementary and after retirement became a volunteer at Highland District Hospital.

Margaret was baptized into Christ at the Hillsboro Church of Christ and remained faithful to Him the rest of her life. She loved singing, reading, playing cards and games with her grandchildren, and was an avid sports fan; especially of the Cincinnati Reds. One of the highlights of her last years was her involvement in two Christian share groups where she developed enduring friendships. All who knew Margaret will remember her contagious laughter, caring personality, and never ending smile. Margaret was overjoyed with the moments she spent with her many grandchildren and great grandchildren passing on a legacy of faith in Christ and love for family.
