Mary Ellen Brewer age 86 of Leesburg died Saturday, January 19, 2013 at her home. She was born July 10, 1926 in Lucasville, Ohio the daughter of the late James and Jewel Lewis McBrayer. She was a member of the Walnut Hill Church of Christ in Christian Union. She is survived by one granddaughter, Dawn (Troy) Frazier of New Vienna, two grandsons, Bart (Stacia) Brewer of Greenfield, Shawn (Shelly) Brewer of Howard, Ohio, four great grandchildren, Todd Brewer, Cami Brewer, Garrett Brewer, Kori (Courtney) Brewer, one great great grandson, Mason Brewer, one nephew, Bill Brewer, daughter-in-law, Margaret Brewer, sister-in-law, Hallie McBrayer of California and special friends, Rick (Cindy) Simmons, Sandy Coats, Linda Hilterbrand and all of the caregivers at Hospice of Fayette County. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Gene Brewer on September 23, 2001, two sons, Donald E. Brewer and Harold Gene Brewer Jr., one granddaughter, Tammy Crabtree, one great grandson, Justin Brewer and one brother, SSGT. George McBrayer. Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 24th at the Turner Funeral Home in Leesburg. Pastor Joe Current will officiate. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memory Gardens in Hillsboro. Friends may call on Thursday from 11 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home in Leesburg.
